ATLANTA — A police officer shot the driver of an stolen ute car Saturday evening at an intersection between Interstate 75 and Interstate 85, police said.
An emergency crew from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation responded to reports of an ute breaking off the road in a busy road at around 11 p.m. They say their search was cut short by gunsh카지노 사이트ots that injured an officer at the scene.
The ut바카라e was stopped behind the Eastside High School on the east side of the city, near the intersection with I-75 and the Interstate 85 bridge. According to police, a woman got out of the ute, got in the passenger seat and started to drive erratically.
The man continued to drive erratically. Once the officer tried to stop him, the ute began speeding.
The ute, which is missing both the driver and the front windshield, was headed westbound on I-85, heading toward downtown Atlanta. The officer got into his police cruiser and stopped the ute. As he had with other v우리카지노ehicles on the roadway, he pulled the man out of the car, who was still driving recklessly.
Both had gunshot wounds. The woman, who was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, was listed in serious condition.
The officer exited his vehicle, but he was not wearing his body camera, which was on the dashboard, and did not move when the man was first shot. An autopsy is pending to determine whether the officer, a seven-year department veteran, was acting in his official capacity or in a professional capacity.
The ute driver has been charged with driving while intoxicated with a child under 14 and obstructing an officer.
